The male half of the species is definitely less intelligent. Or at the very least, less sensible. Less practical.
SlowCoach and I discovered yesterday that Sparkle had a large circular cut on his belly. After much digging for information he eventually confessed that he and Picky had been playing fighting the other day with battery drills. SlowCoach’s tools from the shed. Real drills with real bits in them. And at one point Picky got too close to Sparkle and the drill bit got caught up in his shirt (it was on – he had the power button ON!) and twisted his shirt which caught up his skin. He now has a big mark like carpet burns on his belly. The fabric has twisted and rubbed so badly it’s torn the skin off. Thank heavens he was wearing a shirt …
I don’t know what consequences are logical for this action. It wasn’t malicious harm on Picky’s part, but it was pretty darn stupid. They should both know better than to touch Daddy’s tools! And daddy should know better than to leave them lying around outside the backdoor …
